lol kjackson,
no offense, but how new are you to MUN?

the textbook way tells you that if you have a good resolution that is well documented and shows the respective countries' policies, it will end up passing.

that is probably the biggest lie ever taught to any MUNer in my opinion. really, it depends on the size of the committee you are in.

really, it depends on the size:
Small (7-15 ppl) - it will end up being harder because committees like this are mostly crises and everyone just does their own thing. if its a small specialized committee like the SC (aka Security Council) then you just need to have enough confidence to present your work to other. bring a laptop to a conference, if its allowed because for some reason MUNers love being around laptops. (no joke)

Medium (20-50 ppl) - just look for the most vulnerable kids in the committee. go around to the shy people, let them know exactly what they are dealing with. take advantage of the people who dont have enough balls to do their own work.

Large (>50 ppl) - same as Medium except on a larger scale and look for people who really dont wanna be there and get them too.

hope it helps

wow jwalker

gj mooching and exploiting off the weak and helpless.

though he does have a point. there are a lot of people that just dont want to be at the conference. just work out deals with people like those. the deals dont even have to be that meaningful, just have to sound good i suppose haha.

You'll learn that MUN is basically something you'll become natural at with more conferences you go to and the more you participate.

a lot of people with tell you to be political and realistic. thats true, you should be.

though in real life, if you went behind a country and started making deals with against them, thats not good. in real life, its highly undiplomatic. but in MUN, haha, recommended and somewhat enforced (atleast at the fun/good conferences).
